 | Success at Wessex contest26 November 2022 We won the prize for best second section band at the Wessex Winter Contest in Bournemouth. We played Viking Age by Thierry Deleruyelle. Well done to Ian and band for a good performance. Now we will wrap up warm for carolling season before getting to work on a challenging test piece for the West of England regional contest in March. |
 | NFB raise over £900 for Motor Neurone Disease Association17 July 2022 NFB Main and Training bands put on a lunchtime concert at Sunnyfields Farm, Marchwood, with all proceeds going to Motor Neurone Disease Association. Thank you to everyone who supported the event, which helped raise over £900 for a fantastic cause. |
 | Lymington Bandstand19 June 2022 Thank you to Mal who created this lovely painting of us whilst we were playing at Lymington Bandstand. We managed to miss the rain and the sun started to shine. |
 | NFB Platinum Jubilee celebrations2 June 2022 The band had a busy day playing for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations today. Both main and training bands played for Ashurst's Jubilee event in the afternoon at St Joseph's, before the main band entertained the crowds and the cornet section played the fanfare specially written for the occasion of the Jubilee beacon being lit at dusk at Lepe Country Park. The weather was fantastic and we hope everyone who heard us enjoyed our performances. |
 | RIP Mike Little19 February 2022 The band was recently told that one of its founding members, Mike Little, had passed away, aged 91. Mike was a Research Officer specialising in holography in the Nuclear Engineering Division of Marchwood Engineering Laboratories of the CEGB when, in 1977, Marchwood Brass was formed by a group of brass band enthusuasts. Mike played baritone and he can be seen in this photograph from the band's archives. Our condolences are sent to his family. |
