 | NFB Community Band8 July 2023 New Forest Brass invite you to share in celebrating the renaming of our Training Band - introducing the New Forest Brass Community Band. Over the years since its formation in 2012 our Training Band has gone from strength to strength. It has enjoyed the progression of its members whether they be new to playing brass instruments or having returned to playing after a period away from banding. Under the expert direction of their Musical Director Chris Gane, and other main band members who have supported and mentored, they are no longer a training band and have earned their new name. Our beginner group will now become our Training Ensemble. We congratulate all 3 of our New Forest Brass Bands and look forward to the future of making great music together. We are always looking forward to welcoming new players to our bands, so if you are interested in finding out more then please contact us. |
 | NFB's best regional result this century!12 March 2023 After a three year absence due to Covid, we returned to Torquay for the West of England regionals, and were delighted to be awarded 6th place for our performance of Rodney Newton's "A Pilgrim's Progress". This is our highest placing in the banding pyramid since 1996! Thank you Ian and the band for all your hard work on what was a very challenging piece. |
