A disappointing result at the Wessex Winter Contest in Bournemouth. We enjoyed rehearsing and playing the test piece, Goff Richard's Three Saints, but unfortunately the adjudicator placed us last! He did say in his post-contest speech that there were no bad performances, and most of the bands taking part were from higher national gradings. After we returned to Southampton for a US-style BBQ meal at Red Dog Saloon. We now will be out and about Christmas carolling, before focusing on our area test piece in the new year.
